Dhawan’s 92 powers DC to comfortable win in big chase again Punjab Kings.

In the match between Punjab and Delhi played at Wankhede Stadium, Gabbar led the Delhi team to victory. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan’s tremendous performances helped Delhi beat Punjab by 6 wickets.
Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl. Punjab Kings both opener gave a attacking start where KL Rahul scored (61) runs and Mayank Agarwal quick (69) runs. Chris Gayle and Nicolas didn’t contribute enough but Deepak Hooda (22) and Shahrukh Khan (15) runs in just 5 balls helped Punjab Kings to set a target of 196 against Delhi. 
Chasing a big total, Delhi Capitals got off to a good start. Prithvi Shaw and Dhawan scored good runs in powerplay.But soon Prithvi returned to the tent scoring (32) runs while Gabbar fought back and strengthened his grip on the match. He kept opposition bowlers in pressure by scoring at a good strike rate but Dhawan’s century fell short. However, with 92 runs, it is safe to say that he played a key role in Delhi’s victory.With this victory, Delhi team has reached the second position in the points table with four points.
Shikhar Dhawan has overtaken Glenn Maxwell of Royal Challengers Bangalore to win the Orange Cap. He was also awarded the Man of the Match award.
