What is the European Super League which is causing trouble in the football world?

Twelve of Europe’s best football clubs which includes England’s top six have announced to launch a European Super league.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham are the six clubs that joined the European Super League. On the other hand, AC Milan, Atletico de Madrid, FC Barcelona, FC Internazionale Milano, Juventus FC, and Real Madrid FC has agreed to join the mid-week Super League competition. Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez named as the inaugural chairman of the super league.
The Premier League in a statement strongly condemned the European Super League. They said that it attacks the principle of open competitions and sporting merit. They further added that the fans of the England clubs and also across Europe have always had faith in their clubs that they support hoping that someday their club will reach the top and play against the best teams. “We believe that the concept of a European Super League will destroy these dreams. A European Super League will undermine the appeal of the whole game and have a deeply damaging impact on the immediate and future prospects of the Premier League and its member clubs, and all those in football who rely on our funding and solidarity to prosper”, The Premier League added in their statement.
Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville also said words against this new competition. He said that the points should be deducted from the six teams that have joined. “To do it during a season? It’s a Joke”, Neville said.Richards and Keane also shared their feelings by saying that the clubs just forgot about their fans for the sake of money. The big tournament, UEFA Champions League has also spoken on this issue. It criticized the Super League by saying that it is a project that is for only the self-interest of few clubs at a time when society is in need of solidarity more than ever. UEFA also said that every club and player participating in the Super league could be banned from all the UEFA and FIFA competitions be it European or even International. UEFA also thanked the clubs of France and Germany who have refused to sign for the European Super League.
Among the 12 teams, six are from the Premier League, three form La Liga, and three from Serie A.
