The BCCI has laid down strict rules for the new IPL season. This year, the IPL will have a rule of removing the soft signal and completing 20 overs in 90 minutes. Also, if the speed of overs is not maintained, the captain of the team concerned will be banned for one match. As per the rules, the speed of overs could not be maintained in three matches but the board has made a provision to ban the captain for one match. The captain will be fined Rs 12 lakh for the first offense, Rs 24 lakh for the second offense, and Rs 30 lakh for the third offense. The captain will be fined Rs 30 lakh for the third offense and banned for one match.
The 14th season of the IPL will be telecast live in 120 countries. The running commentary of this competition will be shown in 8 languages of India.These include Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, and Malayalam.
After Chennai and Mumbai, now Punjab has also changed its jersey. The team owners announced the jersey on Tuesday with a new name. The original color of the Punjab team jersey is red. It has a golden stripe on it. There is a picture of a lion on the front of the T-shirt. Players will be wearing gold helmets this season. Earlier, Kings XI Punjab was renamed Punjab Kings.
