Radhika Apte Announces New Thriller Film
Actress Radhika Apte recently shared the poster of her upcoming spy thriller ‘Mrs. Undercover’. The poster was shared on Sunday. It was captioned – “An Indian housewife with a gun is one deadly combination, ain’t it?Presenting the first look poster of my next film, a Spy- Entertainer that has me in & as #MrsUndercover! @vyas_sumeet #RajeshSharma @anushreeAmehta @AbirSenguptaa @vaarunbajaj @B4UMotionPics”The poster shows a woman in a red saree having a gun around her waist and red and white bangles in her hand making it certain that it might be a Bengali protagonist. The poster also has the Howrah bridge in the background making it obvious of the movie to be set in West Bengal, mainly Kolkata. The movie also has actors Sumeet Vyas and Rajesh Sharma but nothing is known about their characters yet.Radhika said that it was the script’s ‘novelty’ that made her choose it. In a statement about the first look, she said, “I think we all wanted to show the essence of the film through this first poster.””I am waiting to see what the audience has to say about this special film of ours,” she added.The film is being directed by Anushree Mehta. She said about the title, poster and imagery was a ‘long thought process’ to make the audience excited. She also added that, “I am so glad that I found an actor like Radhika Apte to play the titular character”.Radhika Apte was last seen in a Netflix original,’ Raat Akeli Hai’ alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which did well on the platform.
