Ranbir Kapoor Tests Positive, Brahmastra gets Delayed Again
Neetu Kapoor took to her Instagram and confirmed the news of Ranbir contacting Coronavirus. She posted a picture of Ranbir and wrote, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well . He is in self quarantine at home and following all precautions “Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen starring in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which has been in production since 2018. It will bring together real life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together for the first time. The film is the first of the proposed fantasy trilogy and also stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy.The shoot has been going on since 2018. It faced numerous postponements due to various factors including the Coronavirus pandemic. The last schedule commenced sometime back and it seemed that the wrap up will soon happen. Sadly, the makers faced another reason to postpone when its lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, tested covid positive. And the shooting immediately got stopes and will begin only when the actor feels better.Reportedly, Alia Bhatt has quarantined herself after her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali director tested positive for COVID-19. A source close to the ‘RRR’ actress revealed, “Alia is completely safe and nothing has happened to her.”Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of the year, and this movie will also be the biggest budget movie in Indian cinema. Uday Shankar, Chairman of Star and Disney India, revealed.”It is the biggest-ever movie made in this country,” he said. When asked about the film being mounted on a budget of Rs. 300 crores, he refused to give away a number but said, “Just to tell you, it is way more than that.”Brahmastra is loosely based on the ‘Immortals of Meluha’ (The first book in the Shiva trilogy authored by Amish Tripathi). The Director also mentioned that the film will be the first in it’s trilogy.
