The unbeaten Vijender Singh Faced his first defeat in his Professional boxing career

The Haryana boxer, Vijender Singh lost for the first time in a pro boxing match. Before this, Vijender was unbeaten in professional boxing since he started his career. Vijender lost to the Russian boxer Artysh Lopsan via technical Knockout (TKO).
Vijender had an unbeaten record of 12 matches till now, but this winning streak came to an end as he lost to Lopsan in the fifth round. Lopsaqn who was playing his seventh bout won the match in the fifth round of an eight-round bout in Goa on the Majestic Pride Casino Ship. The battle was given the nickname of ‘Battle on Ship’.Vijender seemed tired after the third round. Where Lopsan gave some serious right-left combination punches to Vijender in the fourth round. In the fifth round, Lopsan gave a knockout punch to the unbeaten professional boxer Vijender. The referee then declared that Vijender is unfit to continue and passed the bout to Lopsan.
Vijender Singh won three Bronze medals for India. First at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, a second bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships, and the third at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He won all these medals in the middleweight division. Not just bronze, He won two silver medals in 2006 and 2014 Commonwealth Games.In January 2010, Vijender Singh was awarded the Padmashree Award for a marvelous contribution to Indian sports.
In 2014, Vijender Singh debuted as an actor in the Bollywood movie titled ‘Fugly’.He won the First professional boxing against UK’s Sonny Whiting. This was the start of his unbeaten career in pro boxing. He won 12 matches continuously without losing but in the 13th match against Russia’s Artysh Lopsan, he lost. The unbeaten record for Vijender came to an end.On this, Lopsan commented that it was “Glad to End Vijender Singh’s Record”.Attachments area
