Tare & Shaw bring Victory for Mumbai
Aditya Tare’s unbeaten 100 & Prithvi Shaw’s 73 helped the Mumbai team lift the 2020-2021 Vijay Hazare trophy.In form opener, Prithvi Shaw smashed a total of 73 runs in just 39 balls and gave a good headstart to his team. Where Aditya Tare played a matured innings of 118 runs off 107 balls. Tare stayed on the pitch till the end and helped Mumbai to score 313 runs comfortably.The Uttar Pradesh team gave a lifeline to Shaw by dropping a catch when he was on just five runs. This resulted to be a fatal mistake. Shaw took advantage of this and played a destructive inning of 73 runs which pressured the opponent from the beginning of the innings.Shaw was dropped out of the Indian Test team due to his poor performance. He performed poorly in the previous IPL season too. But he showed his value and performance in the Vijay Hazare tournament.Shaw has given an outstanding performance in the tournament. He scored smacking 827 runs with a strike rate of 138.29 and an average of 165.40. With this, he became the top-scoring batsman in one season of the Vijay Hazare trophy.Whereas, from Uttar Pradesh, Madhav Kaushik played a wonderful unbeaten inning of 158 runs off 156 balls with 15 boundaries and four sixes. Samarth Singh and Akshdeep Nath both scored half-centuries. This is the fourth time that Mumbai has won the Vijay Hazare trophy.
