A Pune woman cyclist named Preeti Mhaske has set a Guinness world record by cycling around 6000 km from Mumbai-Chennai-Kolkata-Delhi and back to Mumbai.
A new record has been set by her by completing this distance in just 24 days and 6 hours. Now this record is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Earlier, only two male cyclists had completed across the India long cycle track. The journey that Preeti Mhaske started was on February 27 at 6.50 in the morning. And she finally completed the 6000 km cycle journey on March 23 at 1 pm. Preeti Mhaske, who is 43-year-old, is not just a cyclist but also a runner, and trekker. She has completed the difficult trek of Everest Base Camp. She has also done running from Mumbai to Pune.
Preeti Mhaske has recorded many feats in cycling. Last year, she has also cycled 3,800 km in just 18 days from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. This year, Preeti has completed the 6,000 km golden run which was connecting four important cities in the country. An expert team was also with her to take care of on this trip.
Preeti Mhaske now became the first and the only woman in the world to cover this incredible distance of 6000 km.
