Football legend Pele receives Covid-19 vaccine jab
At the age of 80, Brazilian football icon Pele received a Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday, urging people and his fans not to let down their protection against the deadly virus.
Pele posted a picture of him receiving the vaccine jab on his Instagram, with the caption, “Today is an unforgettable day – I received the vaccine! The pandemic is not over yet. We must keep the discipline to preserve lives until many people have taken the vaccine”. He also urged the people to use masks and to stay home if possible.
Pele is also labelled as “the greatest” by FIFA. He was amongst the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century. He has a great fan following. He was also named “Athlete of the Century”, and was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the Century.
