Prime Minister Narendra Modi in West Bengal & Assam today

Prime Minister on March 20, addressed two mega rallies in West Bengal’s Kharagpur and Assam’s Chabua ahead of the state legislative assembly elections scheduled from March 27 to May 2 , 2021.This is PM’s second visit in the same month. The PM will be holding this rally as a part of BJP election campaign. The rallies are scheduled to be held at 11:15 am & 2:30 pm respectively.Announcing this through twitter PM Wrote ” Will be in Assam and West Bengal tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, 20th March, I would be speaking at rallies in Kharagpur ( WB ) and Chabua ( Assam ). Will elaborate on BJP’s development agenda during my speeches. It is clear both states want to elect NDA in the upcoming polls”.Referring to the toolkit shared by the environment activist Greta Thunberg, he said, “A toolkit has been circulated that will defame Assam tea and Yoga” and pointing towards Congress he said, the Congress party supports those who defame Indian tea. They support such people who create such toolkits and still come to us and ask for votes! Can we forgive a party like this ? PM asked rhetorically.Praising Assam, he mentioned , “When i go to Assam or any other states in northeast , i feel very proud to be associated with the culture. Today also , i am wearing a Gamchaa and I am feeling proud but Congress make fun of this as well.”Assam has an integral role to play the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and BJP will always work for the welfare of Assam and to protect the culture of Assam, he said.Also , not to forget, interacting with people he said ” if a chai wala will not understand your pain then who will.” Going to the Rally in Kharagpur , West Bengal , Refering to the service outage of WhatsApp , Instagram, FB on Friday Night, PM Modi said, last night WhatsApp, Instagram and FB were down for 50-55 mins and everybody was worried, while in Bengal , the development dream has been down from past 50-55 years , i understand your impatience for change. Also praising the number of audience gathered, he was thankful and said “Your enthusiasm says, BJP Government in Bengal this year.”Prime Minister Says this is not just about changing the Chief Minister but it is about taking a resolve to build Sonar Bangla.  Pointing TMC, he said Mamata Banerjee is playing khel of appeasement for vote politics.Praising West Bengal, Prime Minister said, The Kharagpur gives a glimpse of Mini India, Different languages and dialects, the longest platform and the first IIT of India just adds Pride to it.
