Mask: Necessity or Fashion.

                                                         
             In the beginning of COVID – 19 outbreaks when there was a critical situation, people were using masks to save their lives. But now they are using masks for the sake of fashion more than safety.

  People began wearing masks for protecting themselves from air pollution. During lockdown people used N95, surgical and cone style mask for the sake of safety from the virus, but in post lockdown period people have started using fashionable masks, like printed, handmade, homemade, multicoloured masks and mask matching with their dress colour or texture. The fashion of quote printed masks is on trend nowadays. Many people have started experiencing pain behind their ear because of elastic used in masks strap; hence, to avoid this pain many of the people have started using masks which are knotted behind the head or the neck. Scroll through social media and you will notice how face masks are evolving beyond being a necessity item into a fetish. So now, you will find brides and grooms wearing customised designer masks or colour-coordinating masks with their clothes, making it a fashion statement.
                      Apart from this, young aged people have started facing difficulties in breathing which is very dangerous. Many people got asthmatic and are experiencing many types of respiratory diseases. People are unable to get enough oxygen and fresh air to breath in masks; due to this many people are on medication.
                  Amazon, Flipkart, Nyka fashion store, Myntra, Snapdeal, etc shopping apps are coming up with new styles and comfortable masks every month and they are getting a good response from the public, specially youth.
