The Indian pair Sanjeev Rajput and Tejaswini Sawant bagged a gold medal in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team.

Another good day for the Indian shooters as the Indian pair Sanjeev Rajput and Tejaswini Sawant bagged a gold medal in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team at the ISSF World Cup 2021 on Friday.
The pair was actually on the backfoot in the finals, trailing Ukrainians Serhiy Kulish and Anna Ilina by 1-3. But Rajput and Tejaswini didn’t lose hope and stood strong to take back the lead of 5-3. The clash between both was so strong that both the pairs were just taking leads. As the Ukrainians were giving their best to be in lead, the Indian stars did not hold back. They leveled the score and at the end won the gold medal with a two-point lead 31-29. Both Rajput and Sawant scored 294 each, making a total of 588. By this, they finished at the top in the Qualification 2
With this, the Indian contingent at the ISSF won its 11th Gold medal.

On the other hand in the same event, another Indian pair, Aishwarya Pratap Tomar and Sunidhi Chauhan Settled for the bronze medal. Tomar and Chauhan faced and defeated the American pair of Timothy Sherry and Virginia Thrasher by 31-25. 
Talking about the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol, Vijayveer Sindhu took silver as he lost to Estonia’s Olesk Peeter.Attachments area
