Heatwaves in Maharastra!
Maharashtra has typical monsoon climate, with hot, rainy and cold weather seasons. Tropical conditions prevail all over the state, and even the hill stations are not that cold. Dew, frost, hail can also be happened sometimes according to the seasonal weather.
Chandrapur was the fourth hottest city in the world on Wednesday, with a maximum temperature of 43.2 degree Celsius, according to the El Dorado weather website
Severe heat wave conditions are prevailing in parts of Vidarbha, with region being on red alert. According to Skymet Weather, we expect severe heat wave conditions to continue in parts of Vidarbha, while heat wave in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada for next three to four days.
As of now, no warning for heatwave has been issued for the city. Chandrapur and Yavatmal are expected to witness heatwaves on April 2.
Citizens have been asked to take precautions and stay indoors as much as possible.Use sunglasses, umbrellas, hats, shoes and slippers while going outside a home in the afternoon, and people who work under the sun should use sunglasses or umbrellas and cover their head, neck, and face with wet clothes, Dr Kalpana Baliwant, official spokesperson of the PMC health department, told a former website.
