Congress Reminded Thackeray about the Common Minimum Programme
H.K. Patil the Congress in-charge of Maharashtra met chief minister Udhhav Thackeray with leaders of Congress on Saturday. Sources say that this meeting happened because the Congress wanted to remind chief minister Uddhav Thackeray about the common minimum programme of Mahavikasaaghadi which is an alliance of Congress, Shivsena and NCP. Along with this the recent happenings in the state were also discussed. According to some sources the uneven distribution of funds among the congress MLA’s was also a complaint by these Congress leaders.
H.K. Patil met chief minister along with Congress president Nana Patole, revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat ans PWD minister Ashok Chavan. The recent surge in Covid-19 cases and the state’s actions to curb the spread were also discussed. Also the current political situation in the state of Maharashtra and the implementation of Common Minimum Programme were also discussed in detail according to sources. H.K. Patil spoke to the media after this meeting and said, ” Different topics were discussed in this meeting of congress leaders and Chief Minister. There are some objections of the Congress leaders about the fund allocation this was also discussed. A demand for a meeting of two leaders of each constituent party of Mahavikasaaghadi about the implementation of Common Minimum Programme was also presented before Thackeray. A committee will be formed for the co-ordination about common minimum programme.
