AR Rahman turns a producer with ’99 songs’.
AR Rahman, a composer, singer and a songwriter has recently turned into a film producer. He recently presented his most ambitious project ’99 songs’, a musical film about passionate love, in three languages i.e Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The trailer of the film has been launched and it features some of the best visuals and a magical music world.
The film not only marks the debut of AR Rahman as a film producer but also a debut for director Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. A part from this, the film has Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas opposite each other in the lead roles.
Rahman shares, “As part of my production company, YM Movies, I’m happy to collaborate with Jio Studios in bringing together this experiential movie. 99 Songs is about one man’s struggle against the old and the new world. And the antidote is music. It’s my pleasure to introduce the film’s director Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy and a talented cast comprising Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas. It was a great experience working with icons like Manisha Koirala and Lisa Ray, and music legends Ranjit Barot and Rahul Ram.”
The film is all set to release on the 16th of April. Born on 6th January 1967, AR Rahman proves to be a true musical prodigy with more than 284 soundtracks and several awards. His fans are surely waiting to see how this one turns out!Attachments area
