India’s first heritage based online Olympiad
As the world heritage day is coming, an Olympiad is being launched on the same day that is 18 April 2021. It will be India’s first ever Heritage based online Olympiad.
This Olympiad will be targeting a young audience to make them aware of our country which is one of the richest countries for its culture and heritage. Main aim of this Olympiad is to keep this knowledge alive in the minds of youngsters and to encourage heritage enthusiasts of all age groups this Olympiad has been conceived.
This is an initiative by culture, two-year-old arts consulting enterprise. Anjchita Nair (co-founder) says, “Our vision is to strengthen the heritage education system and sensitize young minds to India’s rich and multi-faceted cultural heritage, the initiative aims to strengthen heritage education and give a comprehensive test of all things related to Indian heritage.”
“We will also collaborate with cultural institutions, curators, web encyclopaedias, artists, and teachers to create relevant content for their audience,” says Nair. This Olympiad will take place at 4 levels for the different age groups. Around 2,000 people have registered, as of now Participants can log in at any time of the day according to them for 1 hour contest. The syllabus for the quiz is based on the major national and international boards.
