India defeated England in 1st ODI series
India Vs England 1st one-day international match. India gains victory over England by 66 runs and takes a lead 1-0 in the three-match series at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Tuesday.
England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and opted to ball first. India gave a fantastic performance not only in batting but also in bowling. Shikhar Dhawan & Krunal Pandya smashed the England bowlers with their knock. Shikhar Dhawan scored 98 runs in 106 deliveries including 11fours and 2 sixes, Krunal Pandya(not out) did his half-century in just 31 balls 58 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Virat Kohli made 56 runs in 60 deliveries with 6 fours.
Virat and Dhawan had a partnership of 105 runs for the second wicket. Whereas KL Rahul (not out) who was not able to perform well in T20I played openly and scored 62 runs in 43 balls with 4 fours, 4 sixes. Krunal and KL Rahul had a partnership of 112 runs in 57 deliveries. India had posted the target of 317 runs for 5 in fifty overs.
England made a dazzling commence chasing the target openers Jonny Bairstow scored 94 runs in 66 deliveries including 6 fours, 7 sixes. Jason Roy also added runs with his batting, 46 runs in 35 balls. They had a partnership of 135 runs in just 86 balls. England’s score was 135 runs without any wicket in the 15th over but later, Roy departed that altered the game.None of the batters could give the real stand to England. Debutant Prasidh Krishna gave 54 runs took 4 wickets, including Roy, stokes, and then billings and Tom’s wickets. Shardul Thakur gave 37 runs took 3 wickets. He dismissed Bairstow, Morgan, and Buttler. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 2 wickets whereas krunal also added one wicket. After that England couldn’t succeed to reach the target and scored 251(all-out) in 42.1 over.
